Big 12 Conference Unveils 2026 Women’s Basketball Tournament Bracket

SALT LAKE CITY — After the conclusion of the Big 12 Women’s Basketball regular season, the conference unveiled the 2026 tournament bracket.
The path to the championship begins on Wednesday, March 4, and runs until Sunday, March 8, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

The No. 8 Utah Utes get a first-day bye and will play the winner of the BYU and Houston game in the second round. As the No. 9 seed, the Cougars face off against the lowest seed in the bracket, which ended up being the 7-22 Houston Cougars.
Full Seeding
The top four seeds in the bracket are TCU, West Virginia, Baylor, and Oklahoma State. Those four programs get to watch half of the field get eliminated before hitting the hardwood in the quarterfinals.
The next four are Texas Tech, Colorado, Iowa State, and Utah. They will all play in the second round with a chance to advance to see one of the top four seeds on Friday.
The bottom eight seeds in the conference will all fight to move on in the first round. Those teams are BYU, Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Cincinnati, UCF, Arizona, and Houston.
Game Times
In the first round, four games will be played. The first starts at 10:00 a.m. (MT), and the last tips off at 7:00 p.m. (MT). The Lady Cougars tip off against Houston at 12:30 p.m. (MT) on Wednesday.
After finding out their first opponent, the Utes will play on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. (MT) as well.
The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 p.m. (MT). The final game will be broadcast on ESPN, with all prior games watchable on ESPN+.
