LOGAN, Utah – Football season is approaching fast, but Utah State’s men’s basketball program isn’t waiting around.
The Aggies announced their 2026-27 non-conference schedule Monday, giving fans a first look at the slate awaiting Ben Jacobson’s first team in Logan.

The 16-game non-conference schedule — highlighted by matchups against USC, BYU, SMU and Memphis — will serve as an early proving ground as Utah State transitions to the Pac-12 Conference under its fifth head coach in seven seasons.
Jacobson, who compiled a 397-259 record in 20 years at Northern Iowa, was hired in March after Jerrod Calhoun left for Cincinnati.
Before the regular season begins, Utah State will play three exhibition games.
The Aggies host Denver at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Oct. 10, followed by a road matchup at Saint Mary’s on Oct. 17. USU returns to Logan for its final exhibition against Santa Clara on Oct. 24.

Utah State then hosts Utah Tech on Nov. 10 before a Friday night game against UC San Diego on Nov. 13.
Weber State closes the homestand with an in-state matchup on Nov. 18.

Marquee December
A home date against Montana on Dec. 5 precedes what could be the non-conference headliner: a Dec. 9 trip to the Marriott Center to face BYU.
Winthrop visits Logan on Dec. 12 in its first trip to the Spectrum before Utah State heads to Texas for the Legends College Classic, Dec. 19-21.
The Aggies face Tulsa on Dec. 19 and George Washington on Dec. 21.
After an eight-day break for the holidays, Pacific visits Logan for the first time since 2013. Utah State will look to snap a two-game skid against its former Big West rival.
The Aggies close the calendar year against NAIA member Westminster on New Year’s Eve.
The schedule wraps up in February with a trip to Memphis to face Penny Hardaway and the Tigers
