Big 12 football power rankings: Utah, BYU take center stage

SALT LAKE CITY — It’s time for another installment of Big 12 football power rankings.

For a league like the Big 12, which lacks marquee rivalry games on a national stage, this week’s BYU-Utah game reminds everyone why these two programs, separated by 45 miles, have the best rivalry in the league.

A pair of top-10 teams with College Football Playoff implications on the line, along with a potential Big 12 Championship Game at stake. It’s going to be an electric scene at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday.

The only problem is that it’s a 10 a.m. (MST) kickoff, but we’re all counting down the hours until kickoff.
