Big 4th Quarter Gives Olympus Victory Over Brighton

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Olympus Titans scored 13 points in the 4th quarter of play to take home a road win over the Brighton Bengals 33-20.

The Titans scored two touchdowns in the final five minutes of the game to pulled ahead of the Bengals. Olympus’ Chase Hopkins scored three touchdowns in the big victory.

The Bengals scored in every quarter of the game but it wasn’t enough to overtake the Titans.

Region 5

Bountiful 24 at Woods Cross 41

Woods Cross outscored Bountiful 27-3 in the first half. Cole Wardle ran in a touchdown for the Wildcats, with Carter Weierman throwing for four touchdowns, two to Evan Blanchard and one to both Braden Freestone and Luke Hyde. Peyton Beck threw two touchdowns for Bountiful, connecting with Payson Hadley and Brooks Fornelius.

Farmington 25 at Box Elder 8

Wyatt Evertsen threw two touchdowns, both to Jeremy Wilcox. After trailing 8-7 in the first quarter, the Phoenix scored 18 unanswered points and held Box Elder scoreless in the last three quarters.

Viewmont 17 at Bonneville 27

Kamen Best had two touchdown passes, finding both Jordan Citte and Jordan Mickles once. Citte also ran in a touchdown, along with Kord Shaw in the win for Bonneville. Viewmont’s Jamo Allen scored one rushing touchdown with Will Schultz throwing a touchdown pass to Kaden Smith.

Region 6

Cottonwood 0 at Murray 69

Murray scored 42 points in the first quarter alone. Jarrett Henriksen connected on four touchdown passes, all to different receivers. Raymond Okialda had two touchdowns on the ground, while David Castellano and Deshaud Seymour each added one score.

Hillcrest 0 at Skyline 42

Skyline scored two touchdowns in both the first and second quarters before adding a score in each the third and fourth quarters. Zac Kaufman and Mason Lund each scored two touchdowns on the ground. Braxton Bolingbroke threw two touchdowns, one to both Austin Okenwa and Jeremiah Johnsen.

Region 7

Timpview 47 at Mountain Ridge 0

Three touchdowns in the second quarter created the separation in the game. Targhee Lambson ran in three touchdowns for the Thunderbirds. Raider Damuni threw one touchdown pass to Braxton Cravens, while Elijah Allen connected with Carsen Ryan on a score. Chase Biggs scored the last touchdown for Timpview on a four-yard run.

Region 8

Maple Mountain 31 at Payson 0

Tyler Nelson threw three touchdown passes, two to Brian Bess and one to Remington Rasmussen. Quinlin Jackson found the end zone on a 23-yard touchdown run.

Wasatch 45 at Spanish Fork 7

Parker Quinton passed for four touchdowns, three to Jake Gillman and one to Damien Skiby. Quinton also rushed for a touchdown, along with Zak Thacker. Tayson Reid ran in the only score for Spanish Fork in the loss.

Non-Region

Corner Canyon 59 at Alta 28

When Alta scored their first touchdown, Corner Canyon had a 28-point lead. Cole Hagen threw six touchdowns and ran in two more scores, while throwing touchdowns to Cody Hagen twice and once to four different receivers for the Chargers. Cinco Lucero passed for three touchdowns, all to Daniel Thomason in the loss for Alta.

Menlo Atherton, Calif. 20 at East 49

Menlo Atherton had a 20-7 lead after the first quarter, but East held them scoreless for the rest of the game and scored 42 unanswered points. Luliano Sula rushed for three touchdowns, while Amini Amone, Mapa Vaenuku and Spencer Hola each ran in a touchdown. Izaak Zimmerman threw one touchdown pass to Quinn Olivares in the win for East.

Salem Hills 28 at Highland 14

Salem Hills jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter when each team scored a touchdown in the second and fourth quarters. Deven Johnson threw a 76-yard touchdown pass to Jarret Elmer for Salem Hills. Paul Clark ran in a 28-yard touchdown for Highland.

Skyridge 28 at Orem 14

After holding a 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, Skyridge scored three straight touchdowns before Orem added their second and final score. Skyridge put the game away with a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Buju Tuisuvura recovered a fumble for a 45-yard touchdown, while Kana’ipono Kahala-Giron threw a touchdown pass to Kanekulani Kahala-Giron. For Skyridge, Emmett Call accounted for two touchdowns, one on the ground and one threw the air.
