Two fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns ended up sealing the deal.

Wasatch Wasps 27 @ Cyprus Pirates 0

Although the score may say otherwise, it was anybody’s game as the Cyprus Pirates hosted the Wasatch Wasps in week two. The Wasps led 9-0 going into the fourth. Knowing that it would take just two scores to fall behind, Wasatch cushioned its lead with two touchdowns and a field goal in the fourth.

Murray Spartans (4A) 26 @ Taylorsville Warriors 13

The Murray Spartans prevailed over the Taylorsville Warriors in what started as a grinded-out defensive contest. At halftime, the score remained untouched at 0-0. Murray opened scoring with a 9-yard rushing touchdown in the third, and then outscored the Warriors 19-13 in the final quarter.

The Northridge Knights travelled to the Lone Star State looking for their first win of the season, but ended up getting shut down by the Seguin Cougars. The first quarter was competitive, ending 8-6 in favor of the home team. From there, the Cougars scored 23 unanswered and cruised to the victory.

Cedar Valley Aviators (6A) 17 @ Woods Cross Wildcats 35
