Augusta National Invited Local Healthcare Workers To The Masters

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Augusta National invited local healthcare workers to enjoy The Masters tournament to honor their hard work during the pandemic.

It was a great gesture by Augusta National to invite local healthcare workers to go to one of the most storied events in golf and in sports. The workers, also known as “heroes” by Augusta National were honored for their sacrifice that they made and all the hard work that they put in during the last year when COVID-19 struck the United States in March of 2020.

The Masters posted a video with interviews with the healthcare heroes about their experience.

“We tend to think of our heroes as those who walk inside the ropes, especially here where legends are made every April,” narrator Jimmy Roberts said. “But in a time like no other, we’ve all realized where you find a hero is really all about what you think a hero does. To honor those who honor the community with service, Augusta National worked with local groups to support the COVID-19 response. There was extended testing and vaccination support throughout Augusta and the surrounding area. In addition, some 200 local healthcare workers representing six different facilities across the region were welcomed on-site to this years’ Masters.  ”
