Frank Jackson, Trevin Knell Named To USA Basketball 3×3 Team DC

SALT LAKE CITY – The State of Utah will have a strong presence on the USA Basketball 3×3 Team DC roster after Trevin Knell and Frank Jackson were named to the team.
Knell, a former BYU sharp-shooting guard, and Frank Jackson, a high school star at Lone Peak High School, join Joe Wieskamp and Bryce Willis on Team DC.
USA Basketball has had teams in the FIBA 3×3 Men’s Pro Tour for the past four seasons.

Team DC opens the Pristina Challenger in Qualifying Draw B on Saturday, July 19. They face Mataro (Spain) at 6:25 a.m. MT. Team DC’s second game is at 7:15 a.m. MT against Gargzdai (Lithuania).
3×3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.
About Trevin Knell and Frank Jackson
Knell recently wrapped up a wildly successful six-year career at BYU. The Woods Cross High graduate played 150 games for the Cougars, averaging 7.3 points while shooting 44.5 percent from the floor and 39.8 percent from deep.
Knell’s 150 games are the second most in BYU program history. He is also top-five in wins (107), made threes (239), and threes attempted (600). His .398 career three-point percentage is the 12th highest in program history, and his 1,099 points are the 47th most for a Cougar.

Jackson played 36 games at Duke before entering the NBA draft in 2017. The Charlotte Hornets selected Jackson with the first pick of the second round (31st overall) after he averaged 10.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists with the Blue Devils.
Jackson’s NBA career never really took off, with the guard suiting up for four teams in five seasons. He played 214 NBA games, averaging 8.5 points, 1.8 boards, and one assist. He hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season, when he appeared in one game with the Utah Jazz.
