Former Highland Ram Haloti Ngata Officially Retires With Baltimore Ravens

BALTIMORE, Md. – Former Highland Ram, Oregon Duck and NFL defensive tackle Haloti Ngata officially announced his retirement from the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens.
The team that he spent 8 of his 13 NFL seasons held a press conference to announce his retirement and will put him in the Ravens Ring of Honor in 2020.
Ngata was joined by his head coach in Baltimore Brian Billick and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome.
They started the press conference by playing highlights from Ngata’s career in a Ravens uniform.

Ngata spent 13 seasons in the NFL and was a five time pro-bowler and a Super Bowl Champion with the Baltimore Ravens in 2013. He was drafted in the first round (12th overall) by the Ravens in the 2006 NFL Draft.

The former Oregon Duck was the only defensive tackle to record over 500 tackles, 30 sacks and 4 interceptions. He is regarded as one of the best defenders in Ravens history. Ngata was in Baltimore from 2006-14, before joining the Detroit Lions from 2015-17 and was with the Philadelphia Eagles this past season.
Ngata recorded 17 tackles, including 4 for loss, 1 sack and 3 hits on the quarterback last season, while playing in 13 games.
