Former Utah RB Zack Moss Scores First NFL Touchdown In Buffalo Bill’s Win Over Jets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah and current Buffalo Bills running back Zack Moss scored his first touchdown as a professional athlete in the National Football League during a win over the New York Jets.

Moss and the Bills hosted the Jets in the team’s 2020 season opener on Sunday, September 13.
The Utes’ all-time leading rusher was on the receiving end on a pass from Bills quarterback Josh Allen for his first NFL score.
Allen hit Moss with a four-yard reception for a touchdown with 2:32 remaining in the first quarter.

The rookie running back’s catch capped off a six play, 82 yard drive by the Bills.
Moss’s score put Buffalo up 14-0 early.

The Bills ended up winning the contest 27-17.

Moss carried the ball nine times for 11 yards and recorded three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown in his first NFL game.
Up next for Moss and the 1-0 Bills will be a meeting with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, September 20 at 11 a.m. (MDT).

During Moss’ freshman season in 2016, he played in 10 games and carried that ball for 382 yards and two touchdowns.
Moss played in 13 games, including 12 starts, as a sophomore. He recorded 1,173 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In 2018, Moss was named Second-Team All-Pac-12 after rushing for 1,096 yards and 11 touchdowns. He missed the last five games of the regulars season, the Pac-12 Championship Game, and the Holiday Bowl after suffering a season-ending knee injury.

As a senior in 2019, Moss ran for 1,416 yards and 15 touchdowns. He led the Pac-12 in both categories. He was named an All-American and Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year.
Moss broke Utah records for most career rushing yards, touchdowns, and carries.
