“The Green Bay Packers have placed LB Krys Barnes and QB Jordan Love on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The transaction was announced Friday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst,” the team said is a statement. “Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons.”

Love has yet to step onto the gridiron for the NFC North leading Packers. He’s been inactive entering each of Green Bay’s eight contests this season. Starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers has led the Packers to a 6-2 start this season.
In early September, Green Bay listed the rookie quarterback as the No. 3 quarterback on the team’s depth chart.
