Fred Warner Pick Seals San Francisco 49ers’ Victory Over Miami Dolphins

SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU Cougars and current 49ers linebacker Fred Warner sealed victory for San Francisco with a late interception of the Miami Dolphins.
The Niners hosted the Dolphins at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, December 4.
With 1:53 to go in the game, the former BYU star picked off Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson. Warner returned the ball 20 yards to the Miami 27-yard line.
San Francisco went into victory formation and knelt the ball three times to end the game.

The 49ers beat the Dolphins, 33-17.
Warner finished the game with three total tackles, two solo tackles, and two pass breakups.

This season, Warner has 84 total tackles, 52 solo tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, 10 pass breakups, and one interception.
With the win, the 49ers improved their record to 8-4 this season, including 5-1 at home.

San Francisco’s next game is at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, December 11 at 2:25 p.m. (MDT) on FOX.

During his four seasons in Provo, the linebacker recorded 264 total tackles, 158 solo tackles, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, 13 pass breakups, and two touchdowns.
Warner was selected by the Niners with the No. 70 overall pick during the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was selected to the Pro Bowl and honored as a first-team All-Pro in 2020.
