Jordan Love Leads Packers To Big Divisional Win Over Bears

GREEN BAY, Wisc. — Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love led the Green Bay Packers to a fourth straight win against the Chicago Bears in week 14.
Love completed 17 of his 25 pass attempts for 234 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

Jordan Love, Packers Extend Winning Streak Against Bears
After a rough first quarter that saw four punts and an interception, Love and Green Bay quickly got to work in the second.
An 11-play, 80-yard drive led the Packers to just outside the red zone.
Love found Christian Watson across the middle of the field for the first score of the game.

Chicago came back with a long-winded drive of their own, but had to settle for a 33-yard field goal to make the score 7-3.
With about 75 seconds left in the first half, Love put together some magic to add to the tally before the break.
He found Bo Melton from 45 yards out to make it a double-digit lead.

On Chicago’s first drive of the second half, Caleb Williams would lead the offense into the end zone to drop the lead back down to three.
The Packers then showed that if it isn’t broken, there’s no need to fix it.
They methodically moved into striking distance, and Love set up another big play. It was Watson on the receiving end for the second time.

The Bears would answer with another field goal to make it a one-possession game.
After an unfortunately timed three-and-out, Chicago doubled up and tied the game at 21-21 with Williams’ second passing TD.
With the game on the line, Love led a 65-yard drive that ended in a Josh Jacobs rushing score. Green Bay intercepted Chicago on the final drive of the game to seal the victory.

About Jordan Love
Before his time in the league, the Bakersfield, California native played at USU from 2016 to 2019. During his time with the Aggies, Love threw for 8,600 yards, 60 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions with a completion rate of 61 percent.
In 2020, the Packers traded up to select Love with the No. 26 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
During his rookie campaign, the former USU standout was inactive for each of Green Bay’s games.
Love saw limited action in his second and third seasons with the Packers and continued to serve as the backup to four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Following the 2022 season, the Packers traded Rodgers to the New York Jets. The Rodgers trade paved the way for Love to be Green Bay’s QB1 in 2023.

In his first two seasons, Love threw for 606 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions with a 60.2 percent completion rate in 10 games played.
In 2023, Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 247 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Packers to a 9-8 record in the regular season.
In two playoff games, the former USU signal-caller threw for 466 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Love was injured early in 2024, but came back and led the Packers to another Wild Card berth with 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Green Bay was knocked out in the first game of the postseason by the eventual champion Philadelphia Eagles.
