GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – Jordan Love continued to play some of the best football of his young career, throwing three touchdown passes to lead the Green Bay Packers to a 27-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
The former Utah State quarterback was sharp against pressure, aggressive downfield and steady enough late to help Green Bay withstand a Carolina rally. Love finished 30 of 41 for 288 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception as the Packers improved to 5-3, turning a shaky start into another strong showing from their franchise quarterback.

Former Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd finished with seven tackles for Carolina, but the Panthers struggled to keep Love from picking apart their secondary for most of the night.
Recap
Carolina took a 3-0 lead on the game’s opening possession, capitalizing on a special teams fumble before Love and the Green Bay offense ever took the field.
The Packers went three-and-out on their first drive, but Love settled in quickly on Green Bay’s next possession. A 24-yard completion to Christian Watson moved the Packers into the red zone, and three plays later Love fired a 12-yard touchdown pass to Tucker Kraft between two defenders.
Trey Smack missed the extra point, leaving Green Bay with a 6-3 lead.

Carolina answered with a touchdown to regain the lead, then forced a catch-and-fumble on Green Bay’s first second-quarter drive. The Packers’ defense responded with a stop, giving Love and the offense another chance.
With Green Bay getting little from the run, Love leaned on one of his best weapons this season: the deep ball. He dropped a 53-yard completion to Watson between two defenders, flipping the field.

Josh Jacobs finished the drive with a third-and-goal touchdown run, putting the Packers up 13-10.
Green Bay quickly got the ball back when Ty’Ron Hopper intercepted a pass, and Love took advantage. The Packers put together an eight-play drive that ended when Love lofted a 24-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Golden, giving Green Bay a 20-10 lead late in the first half.

Lloyd tried to create pressure early in the second half, but Jacobs picked up his blitz in the backfield, giving Love enough time to complete another first-down pass. Love opened the game 11 of 14 against the blitz with a touchdown.
Green Bay capped the drive when Love found Jacobs for a 4-yard touchdown, extending the Packers’ lead to 27-10.

Carolina answered with a field goal, and the Panthers later got a spark when defensive back Zakee Wheatley intercepted a deep pass intended for Golden near the goal line.
Bryce Young then led a 12-play drive that ended with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Coker on fourth down, cutting the deficit to 27-19.
The Panthers never got closer.
For Green Bay, the win was another sign of Love’s continued growth. Even without much help from the running game and with Watson leaving because of injury, Love controlled the game for long stretches, delivered in key moments, and helped the Packers move two games above .500.
