NFL Draft Experts Say Blair, Takitaki Could Go In Third Round

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – With the NFL Draft coming up soon, a few former local college stars are rising up the mock draft boards of pundits across the nation.

Several different draft experts predict that either former Utah defensive back Marquise Blair or former BYU linebacker Sione Takitaki will be the first former star from the Beehive State to be taken in the draft.

Blair Projected To Be A Cowboy

According to NBC Sports and Rotoworld analyst Josh Norris, Blair should be the first name from the Beehive State to be called during the first year selection process, ranking him as the 89^th best player on his big board.

In his three-round projections, Todd McShay said that in would be the Dallas Cowboys’ best interest to draft Blair in the third round with the 90^th overall pick.

Takitaki To Baltimore?

Takitaki isn’t far behind as the 91^st best player in the pool. It has been reported that Takitaki visited with the Houston Texans this week in addition to having met with the Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins.

In his latest mock draft, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. projected Takitaki to be the last pick of the third round, 102^nd overall to the Baltimore Ravens.

Of the projection, Kiper wrote “Last pick. Let’s go. I reached a little for a need position, but I really like Takitaki. Can he replace C.J. Mosley’s production? No. But he can be a solid player.”

The NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.
