Niners’ Fred Warner Forces Green Bay Fumble On Opening Drive

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Former BYU and current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner forced a fumble against Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the opening drive of Sunday Night Football.
Warner’s forced fumble came on the Packer’s first possession on Sunday, November 24.
The former BYU LB blitzed into the backfield after Rodgers snapped the ball on 3rd & 10 from the Green Bay. Warner forced the strip sack on the QB and Nick Bosa recovered the football for San Francisco.

On the following play, Niner running back Tevin Coleman ran the ball two yards and across the goal line for the first touchdown the game.
San Francisco took a 7-0 lead over the visiting Packers with 13:02 left in the first quarter. At halftime, the Niners held a 23-0 advantage.
Warner led the Niners with a game-high 7 tackles, a quarterback hit, and the sack.

Warner entered the Sunday night matchup with 70 tackles including 52 solo tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 4 pass breakups on the season.
The Green Bay vs. San Francisco game is televised on KSL TV.
