LOGAN, Utah- Wyatt Bowles is on the road to show that just because you didn’t hear your name called on NFL Draft weekend doesn’t mean that you can’t work your way into a playing spot as an undrafted free agent.

Former Utah State interior offensive lineman and West Point, Utah native Wyatt Bowles has signed a deal with the Los Angeles Rams as a UDFA.

Wyatt Bowles At Utah State

Wyatt was a freshman back in 2018, where he got some playing time but only appeared in four games and stayed below the playing limit for the year not to count against his eligibility.

In 2019, Bowles was injured and awarded a medical redshirt and in 2020, COVID also kept him off the field for an entire season, allowing him to retain those two years of eligibility.

Following the pandemic, Wyatt took off and was recognized as one of the best offensive linemen in the Mountain West Conference by the time he declared for the NFL Draft.

In 2021 and 2022, Bowles got mostly special teams action in 24 games over the two seasons, but by the halfway point of his junior season in 2023, Wyatt was the starting left guard.

In 2024, Wyatt Bowles started all 12 games in the trenches for the Aggies and played a team-high 873 snaps. He also only allowed one sack during Mountain West play.

The Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams won the NFC West in 2024-25 with a 10-7 record.

In the playoffs, the Rams blew out the Minnesota Vikings 27-9 in the Wild Card Round. They moved on to face the Philadelphia Eagles, where they were just a play away from completing a comeback and advancing to the NFC Championship Game, but a failed conversion on 4th & 11 ended their season.

According to Pro Football Network, Los Angeles was the 13th-ranked offensive line in 2024-25.

For Bowles, the journey will start at OTAs and training camp, where he will fight for a coveted spot on either the 53-man roster or the 16-man practice squad.
