Dodgers: HOF Manager Tommy Lasorda Passes Away

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers say Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda, who guided Los Angeles to two World Series championships, has died.
According to multiple reports, he suffered a sudden cardiopulmonary arrest at his home on Thursday. He was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead at 10:57 p.m.

Lasorda was 93. He maintained a relationship, in many different capacities, with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a player, a coach and a manager.
“I’ll never want to take off this uniform,” Lasorda told USA TODAY Sports in a 2014 interview. “I want to keep working for the Dodgers until the day I die. That’s the truth.”
He was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 1997.
