Real Salt Lake Backtracks On Virtual Graphics, What Fans Need To Know While Attending The Riot

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has withdrawn its plans to use virtual graphics during the home broadcasts in an effort to further enhance the organic broadcast of RSL games.
The news broke just a day after the club had announced its plan to utilize virtual graphics throughout the broadcast, even changing the color of certain seats on the east side of Rio Tinto Stadium.

RSL asks fans with tickets on the east side to wear anything but the color white, if they showed up in a white shirt they would have received a complimentary blue shirt to go over the top of their white top.
But now, due to the cancelation of virtual graphics, the club has stayed true to its promise and will donate blue RSL shirts to the first 2,500 fans who walk through the gates.

If you are attending the home opener against Sporting Kansas City, there are certain protocols and regulations that you must adhere to.
Masks are required when arriving, seated, moving throughout the stadium, and leaving the facility.
However, the biggest change from a year ago, besides the addition of another 5000 fans, will be the eating and drinking stations on the concourse. If fans intend on purchasing food or drink from the concession stands, they will not be able to return to their seats to eat or drink.

Instead, they will be required to eat and drink at the designated stations throughout the concourse.

Furthermore, if fans are purchasing food or drink from the concession stands they must make the transaction without the use of cash. No cash transactions will be accepted.
There will be ushers walking the stadium to further implement the protocols, making sure fans are wearing masks, and ensuring every party is staying at least six feet apart from other parties.
