INDIANAPOLIS – Third quarters have been a problem for the Utah Jazz all year long, which must have been in the back of the mind for Collin Sexton.

The ‘Young Bull’ poured in 12 points in the quarter on a near perfect 5/6 from the field.

Utah led by six at the half and built that up to as much as 13 early in the second half.

However, the Pacers eventually gathered their bearings and began to show why they’re a top-four seed out East.

Indiana went on to score 41 points in the third. If it weren’t for Sexton’s strong showing, the Jazz could have faced a huge deficit. Instead, they only got outscored by six in the quarter and trailed by four points to start the fourth.

After scoring just nine points in the first half, Sexton went into the fourth quarter with 21 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Last Five Games For Utah Jazz Begin With Road Contest Against Indiana Pacers

The Utah Jazz have just five games left on their schedule as they face the Indiana Pacers tonight.

Coming into the second-to-last game on their road trip, the Jazz have lost seven in a row and 17 of their last 18. During this period, they slowly but surely slid down the standings, and they now have the worst record in the NBA.

Meanwhile, Indiana is one of four teams in the Eastern Conference who have guaranteed a spot in the playoffs as well as a top-6 seed. The Pacers have won two in a row and eight of their last 10.

This is the second and final matchup between Utah and Indiana this season. The Pacers squeaked out a one-point victory over the Jazz on February 3 at Delta Center.
