Donovan Mitchell Wears Custom D.O.N Issue #2 Colorway To Honor Kobe Bryant’s Birthday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell is wearing some new custom colorway shoes as a part of the Adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 to honor Kobe Bryant’s birthday.

The Jazz posted the shoes that Mitchell will wear on Sunday during Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets.

Shoe designer Andrew Lewis came up with the design for Mitchell.

Lewis posted the photo of the designed shoes on Instagram.

“Put together a meaningful pair of custom D.O.N. Issue 2s for my guy @spidamitchell (Donovan Mitchell) to honor the late Kobe Bryant during today’s playoff game on what would have been Kobe’s 42nd birthday,” Lewis wrote. “Colorway for these is inspired by the old purple mountain @utahjazz jerseys. While the heels of each shoe feature a portrait of Kobe and medial sides with ‘Mamba Forever.'”

Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash in Southern California on January 26.

The D.O.N. Issue #2 colorways will be available August 28.
