Gay Dunks After No-Look Pass From Butler During Jazz/Knicks Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz rookie Jared Butler fed a no-look pass to Rudy Gay for a slam dunk during Utah’s game against the New York Knicks.
The Knicks hosted the Jazz at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, March 20.
With 11:21 remaining in the second quarter, Butler hit a wide-open Gay in the paint on a no-look pass.
Gay rose up and slammed a dunk to cut New York’s lead to 31-30.

Midway through the quarter, Butler had one rebound, two assists, and a steal in seven minutes of action. Gay had seven points on 2-3 field goals, including 1-2 from beyond the arc. Gay added rebounds, one assist, and a steal during his first nine minutes on the court.
This season, Butler is averaging 3.8 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 7.9 minutes per game. Gay is putting up 8.0 points per contest on 40.1 percent shooting.

After beginning the road trip against the Knicks, the Jazz will face the Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Clippers before returning to Utah for one home game against the Los Angeles Lakers, before traveling to Golden State to face the Warriors.
