Ingles, Rivers Receive Technical Fouls In Game 3 Of NBA Playoffs

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After a little skirmish midway through the second quarter, Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles and Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers both received technical fouls.
Prior to the foul, Ingles was dribbling with the ball when he was fouled by Rivers. After the whistle blew, Ingles tossed the ball behind his back in Rivers’ director, striking him on the shoulder. Rivers in turn, tossed the ball back at Ingles.
Referee Josh Tiven was not pleased with their behavior and issued both players technical fouls.

In addition to getting the technical fouls, Ingles also had two fouls with just three points on 1-for-5 shooting.
Rivers had eight points on 3-for-5 shooting with two 3-pointers made.
At time of the foul, the Jazz led 40-37 after playing a much better first quarter than they had in Games 2 and 3.
