Jazz Rookie Isaiah Collier Balls Out In NBA Homecoming Against Hawks

ATLANTA – Utah Jazz rookie Isaiah Collier returned to his home state for the first time as a professional and posted a solid outing.
Against the Atlanta Hawks, Collier had 17 points and 12 assists. It was his 11th double-double of the season.

Collier is from Marietta, Georgia, where he attended Wheeler High School.
He led the Wildcats to three state championships and was rated as the number one overall prospect for the 2023 class.
After considering multiple offers, Collier committed to USC where he played one year of college basketball before putting his name in the hat at the 2024 NBA Draft.

Collier was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 29th overall pick in the first round and the rest is history.
He has shined in his rookie campaign, averaging 8.5 points and 6.2 dimes. He broke the franchise record for assists in a rookie season last week. But his story truly began in the Peach State.
Utah Jazz End Road Trip In Atlanta Against Hawks
The Utah Jazz end their five-game road trip and have a shot at ending their losing streak against the Atlanta Hawks tonight.
Coming into the matchup, the Jazz are riding an eight-game losing streak, have dropped 18 of their last 19, and hold the NBA’s worst record. Tonight marks Utah’s second-to-last road game and their fourth-to-last game overall.
It hasn’t been all peachy for the Hawks either, though. Atlanta has lost three in a row and five of their last six. On the bright side, despite sitting at 36-41, the Hawks have clinched a play-in berth in the Eastern Conference.
This is the second and final matchup between Utah and Atlanta this season. They last faced off on January 7, where the Hawks stole a 124-121 win at Delta Center.
