Jazz Guard Rayjon Tucker Rises Up For First Career Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Rayjon Tucker bounced to the rim and delivered his first NBA dunk in Utah’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Tucker’s jam came during the second quarter of the game between the Hornets and Jazz at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Friday, January 10.

The Jazz guard received a pass on the baseline from Jordan Clarkson, rose up, and threw down a three-foot dunk to give Utah a 40-24 advantage with 7:39 remaining in the second quarter.

The Jazz took a 61-38 lead over the Hornets into the locker room at halftime.

In the first half, Tucker scored 2 points on 1-1 shooting. He also added a steal to his stat line in 5 minutes on the court.

Tucker entered the game against the Hornets having appeared in four previous games with the Jazz. He signed with Utah on December 26, 2019.

The guard had scored a total of 7 points in a Jazz uniform.

Tucker had made a couple of driving layups, a jump shot, and a free throw but the dunk over the Hornets was his first.
