SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz are in the thick of a race for top odds in the 2025 NBA Draft. With 42 games under their belt, where do they sit in the association?

Today’s Look At The NBA Standings

Currently, the Jazz hold a 10-32 record and sit in 15th in the West and 29th overall.

Utah has lost four in a row and seven of its last eight. Just last week, they were 14th in the West and 26th overall. With their most recent loss to the OKC Thunder, the Jazz dropped beneath the Toronto Raptors who sit at 11-32.

The only team with a worse record than Utah right now is the Wizards who have lost 11 in a row and are all but guaranteed to finish with the worst record in the league.

What’s Next For The Jazz, Other Lottery Hopefuls

Let’s start with the upcoming schedules for the NBA’s bottom feeders.

Four of Washington’s next five games are against Western Conference playoff hopefuls. The one game that isn’t is against Toronto. Considering the gap between the Wizards and the Raptors, Jazz fans should probably root for Toronto in this one.

Fortunately, Toronto has a relatively easy schedule to close out the month. Two games in Atlanta, at home against the Pelicans, in Washington, and then back at home to face Chicago.

New Orleans will play three of the West’s best as well as Charlotte and Toronto before February rolls around. Charlotte also has some winnable games in Portland, New Orleans, and Brooklyn.

Other than the Wizards, it’s hard to see most of these teams going winless in their next five.

As for the Jazz, you have to go 15 games into the future to find a team that isn’t vying for a spot in the postseason. The immediate schedule sees Memphis, Milwaukee, Golden State, Minnesota, and Orlando.

Now, let’s widen the scope for the rest of the NBA season by looking at the remaining strength of schedule.

Toronto has the easiest remaining schedule of any team and Washington is right there with them at second. Charlotte is not far behind with the fifth-easiest remaining schedule.

Meanwhile, Utah has the fifth-hardest. New Orleans has the fourth-hardest but the Pelicans have had a lot of players return from injury and won five of their last six.

It would not be shocking if this five-man race turns to four or even three in the very near future.
