SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Ochai Agbaji scored on an alley-oop pass during the second half of Utah’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets hosted the Jazz at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Monday, January 29.

With 1:30 remaining in the third quarter, Jazz rookie Keyonte George lobbed a pass toward the hoop before Agbaji collected the ball for an alley-oop layup. Agbaji’s bucket trimmed the Nets’ lead to 94-83.

During the first 36 minutes of game time, Agbaji scored four points on 2-4 field goals. George recorded nine points on 2-3 shooting. The rookie also added three rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes on the court.
This season, Agbaji is averaging 5.6 points on 42.9 percent shooting. The Kansas product also averages 2.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 20.0 minutes per game.
George is averaging 10.7 points per game on 36.4 percent shooting, including 32.4 percent from beyond the arc, this season.

Jazz vs. Nets
The Jazz will travel to face the Nets hoping to extend their winning streak to three straight games.
Utah is coming off back-to-back wins over the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets in games three and four of their six-game road trip.
The Nets meanwhile are looking to string together consecutive wins for the first time since December 23-26 when they beat the Detroit Pistons in a home-and-home series over Christmas.

Nets Struggling After Strong Start
The Nets opened their schedule with a promising 15-15 record through the first 30 games of the season.
However, they’ve managed just three wins in their last 19 outings dating back to December 26.
