Report: Jazz/Stars Players Brantley and Oni Being Tested For Coronavirus

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz players Jarrell Brantley and Miye Oni are being tested for coronavirus according to the Jeff Goodman of Stadium. Brantley and Oni have been splitting time between the Jazz and their G-League affiiate the Utah Stars and were with the Jazz during their recent four-game road trip.
Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19 just as the Jazz were supposed to tip-off against the Oklahoma City Thunder, leading to a suspension of the NBA season.
Utah Jazz G-League team had game canceled tonight against Phoenix Suns G-League team in Arizona. Two players – Miye One and Jarrell Brantley— were with the Jazz last week and are waiting now to be tested to make sure they don’t have the Coronavirus, source told @Stadium.

The Jazz road trip consisted of games against the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Detroit Pistons. The Jazz have since hosted the Toronto Raptors Monday night in Salt Lake City before they traveled to play the Thunder.
The Stars have not played since March 6 when both Oni and Brantley were with the Jazz in both Boston and Detroit.

How Do I Prevent It?
The CDC has some simple recommendations, most of which are the same for preventing other respiratory illnesses or the flu:
- Avoid close contact with people who may be sick
- Avoid touching your face
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. Always wash your hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
- If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
The CDC does not recommend wearing a facemask respirator to protect yourself from coronavirus unless a healthcare professional recommends it.
