Reports: William Howard Leaving French Team To Join Utah Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – According to Sportando, the Utah Jazz will sign forward William Howard, who currently plays for Limoges in France.
Reports say that the Jazz will pay 150,000 euros to buyout his contract with Limoges.
Howard averaged 9.4 points this past season and 10.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in EuroCup.

The 6’8 small forward has stayed overseas after being ruled ineligible in 2012 to play for the University of Washington. Howard was born in Montbrison, France and is 25 years old.
He played for BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque in France from 2012-14, then one season with Denain Voltaire Basket, two years with Hyeres-Toulon before joining CSP Limoges for the past two years.
Howard didn’t get much playing time in the first two seasons of his professional career, in his first season of consistent playing time, he averaged 9.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals, while shooting 43 percent from the field and 36 percent from downtown.
The 2017-18 season, his first with Limoges, was his best season of his young career, posting 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists, while hitting 48 percent of his field goals and 40 percent of his three-point attempts.
Throughout his 5-year career overseas, Howard averaged 9.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists, with 44 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc.
The Jazz will likely sign one more player other than their two players that will sign two-way contracts.
