Royce O’Neale Makes Shot While Falling Backward After Foul

ATLANTA, Ga. – Jazz forward Royce O’Neale nailed an acrobatic basket falling backward after getting fouled by the Atlanta Hawks’ DeAndre’ Bembry.
O’Neale field goal came during the first quarter of Utah’s game in Atlanta on Thursday, December 19.
The Jazz forward received a pass from Donovan Mitchell as he passed half court, drove to towards the hoop, and nailed a shot that he flung up towards the hoop after getting bumped by Bembry. The officials called the Hawks guard for a foul and sent O’Neale to the free throw stripe.
O’Neale’s bucket and made foul shot cut the Hawks’ lead to 13-12 with 6:21 left in the first quarter.

O’Neale finished the opening quarter of play with 3 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist in eight minutes on the court.
The Jazz trailed the Hawks 30-28 at the end of the opening quarter at State Farm Arena.
