SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz rookie forward Taylor Hendricks suffered a foot injury and did not start the second half of Utah’s game against the Washington Wizards.

The Jazz hosted the Wizards at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on Monday, March 4.

At the start of the third quarter, Luka Šamanić entered the game in place of Hendricks.
The Jazz announced that Hendricks would miss the remainder of the contest due to a left 1st MTP sprain AKA big toe sprain.

At halftime, the Wizards led the Jazz, 75-74.
During the first 24 minutes of game time, Hendricks had eight points on 3-3 field goals. He added two rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes on the court.

This season, the UCF product is averaging 5.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.6 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 17.6 minutes per contest. He’s played in 23 games this season.
In the first half, the Jazz ruled out fellow rookie Keyonte George due to illness.

The loss capped off a winless three-game Eastern Conference road swing after falling to the Atlanta Hawks and the Orlando Magic.
The Jazz are 1-8 in their last nine games since the NBA trade deadline.

The Jazz will be the first team with a record below .500 the Wizards have faced since late January when they beat the Detroit Pistons and the San Antonio Spurs in back-to-back outings.
