Walker Kessler Block Leads To Isaiah Collier-John Collins Connection

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz turned up the heat on both ends as they took off on a massive third-quarter run against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
At one point in the quarter, Utah went on a 27-4 run. Through the whole 12 minutes, the Jazz outscored the Wolves by 13.

The play that really told the story of the third came less than a minute after the halftime break.
Walker Kessler swatted a shot at the rim which turned into a John Collins three off of a drive-and-dish from rookie Isaiah Collier.
In the third, Utah shot 66.7 percent from the floor and 50 percent from deep. They also forced four Minnesota turnovers.

Collins, who had already started off an impressive performance through the first two quarters, really took off in the third.
Going into the final stretch, Collins had 29 points and 10 rebounds on 12/17 shooting.
The Jazz trailed by 11 at the half. After the impressive bounce-back quarter, they held a lead going into the fourth.
Jazz Look To Get Back In Win Column Against Shorthanded Timberwolves
The injury report is extensive for both teams as the Utah Jazz host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Delta Center on Friday.
For the Wolves, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and Julius Randle are all out. For the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson will be sidelined for injury maintenance.
This game is the second of four in the 2024-2025 season series. The first game was on January 30 where Minnesota handed Utah a 138-113 loss in SLC.
