Utah Jazz Interested In F Thaddeus Young

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – As free agency begins at 4 p.m. MT on Sunday, where teams can officially talk to and negotiate with NBA free agents, reports indicate that the Utah Jazz are interested in former Indiana Pacers forward Thaddeus Young.
Young is an unrestricted free agent, but the Jazz will have some competition in pursuit of Young with many teams reporting to have interest.
The Jazz still have to decide if they want to pick up the team option of $16.9 million on Derrick Favors. The Utah Jazz big man has his camp fielding calls to gauge interest for Favors in case the Jazz decline his option.

Young finished his third season with the Pacers and averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game and shot 52.7 percent from the field and 34 percent from downtown this past season.
He was drafted 12th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, where he spent the first seven seasons. He signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves and was traded to Brooklyn after 48 games and spent the next year and a half with the Nets. Young signed with the Pacers ahead of the 2016-17 season.
Young is a good defender with good size and length and can knock down the three-point shot.
