Zion Williamson Could Play In SLC Summer League

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz announced the revamped Salt Lake City Summer League that includes a new name, new logo and one new team.
They will face the San Antonio Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies, who participated last season. The new team will be the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland finished the regular season with the second worst record in the NBA will have the same percentage of odds to land the No. 1 pick with the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns at 14 percent.
The player that has received the most attention throughout the college basketball season has been Zion Williamson from Duke. The freshman phenom averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game with the Blue Devils. He is unanimously projected as the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
The NBA will hold their Draft Lottery on Tuesday, May 14 at 6 p.m. on ESPN, leading up to their coverage of the Western Conference Finals.
Other Possible Prospects Could Play In SLC
If the Cavaliers don’t land the No. 1 pick or Williamson, if they land in the top three, a great player will be playing in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
Ja Morant from Murray State is projected as the second overall pick after an impressive season with the Racers, where he averaged 24.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 10 assists per game.
The other player to watch for is Duke’s R.J. Barrett, who is pegged as the No. 3 pick most mock drafts. Barrett averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in his freshman season.
The Jazz will have the 23rd pick in the first round of the draft and will have the 53rd pick in the second round.
Exciting Jazz Players To Play In Summer League
After an entertaining rookie campaign, Grayson Allen will be playing for the Jazz during the Summer League. The Duke product averaged 5.6 points during his first NBA season, spending a good portion with the Jazz’s G-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. Allen finished the regular season by scoring 40 points against the Clippers.
Tony Bradley has an important summer ahead of him as he will enter his third season in the NBA. He has spent most of his career with the Stars but was injured for most of last season. In the three games that Bradley played for the Jazz in 2018-19, he posted 5.7 points per game.
