SALT LAKE CITY – For the people saying jokes that “now college basketball starts” with the NFL season over, we’ve been tracking Big 12 basketball for months.

If anything, the NFL season concluding gives a clear runway for leagues like the Big 12 to take on bigger audiences.

What’s crazy is that only four weeks are left in the regular season.

Time is ticking for bubble teams to get on the right side of the bracket and the title contenders to round into championship form. The Big 12 has many compelling storylines heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

Big 12 Basketball Power Rankings: Week 15 Edition

Take a look at the week 15 Big 12 basketball power rankings.

Previous Power Rankings

Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6 | Week 7 | Week 8 & 9 | Week 10 | Week 11 | Week 12 | Week 13 | Week 14 |

1. Houston (19-4, 11-1 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 2 (Up 1)

Last Week

  • Houston 72, Oklahoma State 63
  • Houston 69, Colorado 59 (Road Win)

This Week

  • Monday, February 10: vs. Baylor
  • Saturday, February 15: at Arizona

After a sleepy week for Houston, they return to the No. 1 spot. This week will show us if the Coogs are a back-to-back regular-season champion in the league. Also, not enough credit has been given to how well Milos Uzan has fit this season in replace of Jamal Shead.

2. Arizona (17-6, 11-1 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 3 (Up 1)

Last Week

  • Arizona 85, BYU 74 (Road Win)
  • Arizona 82, Texas Tech 73

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: at Kansas State
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. Houston

Arizona is the hottest team in the league right now. Their size is crushing opponents on the glass. We can’t wait until Saturday in McKaley for that matchup against Houston.

3. Texas Tech (18-5, 9-3 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 1 (Down 2)

Last Week

  • Texas Tech 73, Baylor 59
  • Arizona 82, Texas Tech 73

This Week

  • Wednesday, February 12: vs. Arizona State
  • Saturday, February 15: at Oklahoma State

There’s no shame in falling in Tucson. However, it was surprising to see Arizona’s physicality overwhelm the Red Raiders, considering Tech won at Houston the week before. Still, Tech is a team that can make a deep run in March.

4. Iowa State (18-5, 8-4 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 4

Last Week

  • Kansas 69, Iowa State 52
  • Iowa State 82, TCU 52

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: at UCF
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. Cincinnati

Iowa State had a get-right game against TCU to end a three-game losing streak with ESPN’s College Gameday in attendance. Another positive sign for the Cyclones was that Milan Momcilovic returned to the starting lineup after a month away and hit four 3-pointers.

5. Baylor (15-8, 7-5 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 6 (Up 1)

Last Week

  • Texas Tech 73, Baylor 59
  • Baylor 91, UCF 76

This Week

  • Monday, February 10: at Houston
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. West Virginia

Baylor was healthy, and they cruised to a 91-point outing against the Big 12’s worst defense, UCF. Langston Love’s first game in 2025 included 27 minutes played and 16 points.

6. Kansas State (12-11, 6-6 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 8 (Up 2)

Last Week

  • Kansas State 71, Arizona State 70 (Road Win)
  • Kansas State 81, Kansas 73

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: vs. Arizona
  • Saturday, February 15: at BYU

K-State is the most dangerous team in the league right now. The Wildcats have won five in a row after the upset victory over in-state rival Kansas in Manhattan. While the win over Kansas garnered more headlines, grinding out a gritty road win at Arizona State was also impressive. If they put together another perfect week, we might need to discuss the Wildcats in some Bracketology projections.

7. Kansas (16-7, 7-5 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 7

Last Week

  • Kansas 69, Iowa State 52
  • K-State 81, Kansas 73

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: vs. Colorado
  • Saturday, February 15: at Utah

Kansas has great predictive metrics. They have a solid resume. But doesn’t it feel like this group is going to have a similar end-of-season result as last year? It’s hard to wrap our minds around the lack of consistency with this team.

8. BYU (15-8, 6-6 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 5 (Down 3)

Last Week

  • Arizona 85, BYU 74 (Home Loss)
  • Cincinnati 84, BYU 66

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: at West Virginia
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. Kansas State

BYU has been one of the best rebounding teams in the league this year. However, that didn’t show up last week, when it suffered a pair of losses.

9. West Virginia (15-8, 6-6 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 9

Last Week

  • TCU 65, West Virginia 60
  • West Virginia 72, Utah 61

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: vs. BYU
  • Saturday, February 15: at Baylor

Tucker DeVries is out for the remainder of the year with a shoulder injury.

10. TCU (12-11, 5-7 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 12 (Up 2)

Last Week

  • TCU 65, West Virginia 60
  • Iowa State 82, TCU 52

This Week

  • Wednesday, February 12: vs. Oklahoma State
  • Saturday, February 15: at Arizona State

11. Cincinnati (14-9, 4-8 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 15 (Up 4)

Last Week

  • Cincinnati 93, UCF 83 (Road Win)
  • Cincinnati 84, BYU 66

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: vs. Utah
  • Saturday, February 15: at Iowa State

12. UCF (13-10, 4-8 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 10 (Down 2)

Last Week

  • Cincinnati 93, UCF 83 (Home Loss)
  • Baylor 91, UCF 76

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: vs. Iowa State
  • Saturday, February 15: at Colorado

13. Oklahoma State (12-11, 4-8 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 14 (Up 1)

Last Week

  • Houston 72, Oklahoma State 63
  • Oklahoma State 86, Arizona State 73

This Week

  • Wednesday, February 12: at TCU
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. Texas Tech

14. Utah (13-10, 5-7 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 13 (Down 1)

Last Week

  • Utah 72, Colorado 59
  • West Virginia 72, Utah 61

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: at Cincinnati
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. Kansas

15. Arizona State (12-11, 3-9 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 11 (Down 4)

Last Week

  • Kansas State 71, Arizona State 70 (Home Loss)
  • Oklahoma State 86, Arizona State 73

This Week

  • Wednesday, February 12: at Texas Tech
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. TCU

16. Colorado (9-14, 0-12 Big 12)

Last week’s power ranking: No. 16

Last Week

  • Utah 72, Colorado 59
  • Houston 69, Colorado 59 (Home Loss)

This Week

  • Tuesday, February 11: at Kansas
  • Saturday, February 15: vs. UCF
