BYU Football’s Tiger, Bear Bachmeier Meet Up With Adam Sandler

SALT LAKE CITY — BYU football star brothers Tiger and Bear Bachmeier met up with actor and comedian Adam Sandler during his stop in Utah this weekend.
In a post shared on Instagram, the Bachmeier brothers held up a Bobby Boucher jersey with Sandler.

Robert “Bobby” Boucher Jr. is a character played by Sandler in the 1998 football comedy movie The Waterboy.
In the post, Sandler wrote: “Salt Lake City! That was a sweet Sunday Night together! Thanks for the warm Utah hospitality!”
Tiger, and specifically, Bear Bachmeier, have taken the state of Utah by storm with their impact on the currently undefeated BYU football program. The brothers from California transferred to Provo from Stanford before the season, and the rest is history.
Sandler’s current residence in California is about two hours northwest of where the Bachmeier brothers grew up in Murrieta.
Why Was Adam Sandler In Utah?
The 59-year-old has been particularly busy in 2025. From revamping the Happy Gilmore series to acting and producing three other movies, he has also been going all around the country for his You’re My Best Friend Tour.
Salt Lake City was the 29th stop of 34 total. Sandler has played guitar and rattled off jokes in 33 cities this year. The final stops on his tour are Boise, Portland, Seattle, and two shows in Las Vegas to end it off.
