AP Top 25 Poll: BYU Cracks Top Ten, Utah Re-Enters Week Ten Rankings

SALT LAKE CITY — For the second time this season, both BYU and Utah football find themselves in the AP Top 25 poll.
The Cougars, previously ranked No. 11, jumped up one spot following their impressive comeback win over the Iowa State Cyclones.
BYU and the Miami Hurricanes both received 1069 voting points and are tied for No. 10 in the AP Poll.

Meanwhile, the Utes joined the top 25 after being unranked for the third time this season. They did this after beating UCLA in week one and after beating Arizona State in week seven.
Utah dominated the Colorado Buffaloes, who were fresh off a ranked win, at home in week nine. The 46-point win was the largest margin of victory for the Utes in the 122-year history of the Rumble in the Rockies rivalry.

The Utes will face the No. 17 Cincinnati Bearcats next week with ESPN’s College GameDay in town. BYU has a bye week with the No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders waiting for them on the other side of it.
The Rest of The Big 12 Rankings
For the first time this season, there are five Big 12 schools in the AP Top 25 poll.
BYU leads the pack at No. 10. Texas Tech joins them in the top 15 at No. 13. Cincinnati breaks into the top 20 at No. 17. Houston and Utah round out the group at No. 22 and No. 24.
No other Big 12 schools received votes in week 10.
