TV info, kickoff time revealed for top-10 BYU-Utah rivalry game

SALT LAKE CITY — We have a kickoff time for the highly anticipated top-10 rivalry matchup coming up between BYU and Utah.
On Monday, the Big 12 Conference announced kickoff times and TV info for games occurring on the weekend of Saturday, November 7.
Early morning kickoff for BYU/Utah on November 7, 2026
The rivalry game between the Utes and Cougars will kick off at 10 a.m. (MT) and be televised on either ABC or ESPN.
It’s the first 10 a.m. kickoff time for the rivalry since 1996.
The television network will be decided after the conclusion of games played on October 31.

BYU is currently ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25 poll after falling to UCF last week in double overtime in Orlando. The setback was BYU’s first loss of the season. They are 6-1 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play.
Meanwhile, Utah is the highest-ranked team in the Big 12 at No. 6 in the AP Top 25, and the last unbeaten team at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Big 12. The Utes beat Houston, 21-13, at home last week in a top-15 matchup.
Assuming both teams remain in the AP Top 25 poll when they meet, it will be the second straight year they are ranked when they square off. The last time the in-state rivals met in consecutive years was in 2008 and 2009.
They have never squared off with both ranked in the top-10 of the AP Top 25.
Before the two teams square off, the initial College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings will be released, which could affect the matchup’s ranking and the upcoming games this weekend. BYU hosts Arizona State, while Utah goes on the road at Cincinnati.

The last time these heated in-state rivals squared off in a kickoff window outside of the evening was 2015 in the Las Vegas Bowl. Before that, the last regular-season, non-night kickoff between the teams was in 2010, when they were in the Mountain West Conference together.
BYU has won the last three meetings in this rivalry. The last time BYU won four straight against the Utes was in 1992.
Before BYU’s three-game win streak that dates back to 2021, Utah had won nine straight in the rivalry. Utah leads the all-time series 59-34-4, dating back to 1922, according to BYU’s record books.
Utah’s record books have the Utes holding an all-time record at 62-37-4 over the Cougars, with games dating back to 1896.
