BYU Will Host Utah State To Open Women’s NCAA Soccer Tournament

PROVO, Utah – BYU and Utah State are dancing in the 2025 Women’s NCAA Soccer Tournament.
The in-state rivals will face off this Friday night at South Field in Provo at 6 p.m. (MST).
BYU earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after winning its first-ever Big 12 Tournament championship last week in Texas. The Cougars earned a five-seed in the 64-team field.

Utah State earned its third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the Mountain West Tournament championship in Boise.
It’s the second time in three years these in-state programs will meet in the NCAA Tournament first round. BYU defeated Utah State two years ago in Provo.
Earlier in the regular season, BYU defeated Utah State, 2-0 at South Field on September 6.
The winner of Friday’s match will then advance to face the winner of No. 4 seed UCLA vs. Pepperdine on Thursday, November 20.
BYU is preparing for its 26th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament, its eighth consecutive bid to the tournament.
Under head coach Jennifer Rockwood, BYU has reached the NCAA Tournament in all but five years in her 31-year career as head coach.

BYU is 15-3-1 all-time in matches against Utah State.
Tickets will go on sale beginning November 10 for BYU’s “AD Circle” and Corporate Sponsors. Then it will continue on November 11 through various Cougar Club levels, with general public sales beginning on November 12 at 10 a.m. through BYU’s ticket office.
