BYU-Georgia Southern Football Game Officially Sold Out

PROVO, Utah – The 14th ranked BYU football is going to play in front of another sellout.
According to Georgia Southern Athletics, BYU’s game on Saturday against the 3-7 Eagles is officially sold out. Georgia Southern’s Paulson Stadium holds 25,000 seats and is often referred to as “The Prettiest Little Stadium in America.”

BYU football is no stranger to sellouts
Saturday’s game will be the first sellout of the season for Georgia Southern. But BYU is no stranger to capacity crowds this season. This will be the sixth sellout crowd BYU has played in front of during the 2021 season. It’s the third road sellout involving BYU (Utah State, Baylor).
This begs the question, how many of the fans on Saturday afternoon at Paulson Stadium will be BYU fans? Probably a lot more than the GS faithful are expecting.
BYU fans love the tagline, “Every game is a home game,” because they travel so well to games. Many of the fans are located in the nearby area of the stadium hosting the event. Look for a lot of Cougar fans from the southeast to show up at Paulson Stadium.

As of November 11, 500 single-game tickets were remaining. The remaining tickets were purchased by a “generous donor” of Georgia Southern.

Georgia Southern has been playing their home football games at Paulson Stadium since 1984. The highest attended crowd in the venue’s history was 25,735 fans to see the Eagles play ULM on September 17, 2016.
BYU is the highest-ranked team to ever play in Statesboro. This is BYU’s fourth-ever visit to Georgia (1982 Georgia, 2002 Georgia Tech, 2012 Georgia Tech).

For fans still wanting to attend tomorrow’s game, Paulson Stadium has general admission tickets on a grass hill inside the venue, remaining at $30 each as they try to set a new single-game attendance record.
