BYU’s Gavin Baxter Leaves UVU Game After Suffering Non-Contact Injury

OREM, Utah – BYU forward Gavin Baxter left the Cougars’ game against the Utah Valley Wolverines after suffering a non-contact leg injury.

The Wolverines hosted the No. 12 Cougars at UCCU Center on Wednesday, December 1.
With 11:57 remaining in the first half, Baxter exited the court with assistance and did not place any weight on his left leg.
Baxter left the game with one rebound during his time on the hardwood.
The senior forward has experienced multiple injuries throughout his BYU career, including a torn ACL and torn labrum.

This season, Baxter is averaging 8.8 rebounds, 3.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 1.3 blocks in 15.3 minutes per game.
During his BYU career, Baxter has recorded 4.8 points, 2.9 boards, 0.3 assists, and 1.0 blocks in 45 games played.
