Zach Wilson Throws First Touchdown Of Season To Give Cougars Three TD Lead

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – BYU junior quarterback Zach Wilson threw his first touchdown pass of the 2020 season, connecting with running back Lopini Katoa.
It was Katoa’s second touchdown of the game. The running back had a 39-yard rushing touchdown on the second offensive series for the Cougars before catching a 15-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to put the Cougars up 21-0 over Navy with 13:31 remaining in the second quarter.
The junior quarterback found Katoa on a little screen pass off the right. Katoa ran down the right sideline into the end zone.
Wilson threw 11 touchdowns last season while racking up 2,382 passing yards.

Wilson incompleted his first two pass attempts for the game but has 43 passing yards on 3 pass completions. He also has one touchdown and one interception. The pick that Wilson threw was the only offensive possession that BYU did not score a touchdown on.
Through the first quarter and part of the second quarter, the Cougars had 157 rushing yards on 13 attempts. Tyler Allgeier ran for 97 yards and one touchdown off of 7 carries. Katoa had five rush attempts for 57 yards and one score on the ground. Wide receiver Dax Milne rushed the ball once for three yards.
