Ryan Davis Hauls In First Touchdown As Member Of Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah senior wide receiver Ryan Davis grabbed his first touchdown as a member of the Utes in the second quarter against Cal Poly on Saturday.
Davis transferred in from New Mexico along with quarterback Devon Dampier and offensive coordinator Jason Beck.

Davis, a sixth-year senior, spent the first three years of his college career with the UAB Blazers. In 2023, he transferred to New Mexico.
In two seasons with the Lobos, Davis had 75 receptions for 1,002 yards and four touchdowns. He was one of Dampier’s top targets last season with 747 yards and three touchdowns.
In week one, Davis caught three passes for 22 yards. He had three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown in the first half agaisnt the Mustangs.
Utes Open 2025 Home Schedule Against Cal Poly
No. 25 Utah football hosts the Cal Poly Mustangs for their 2025 home-opener at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday.
After a statement week one victory over the UCLA Bruins, the Utes look to keep the ball rolling at home against an FCS opponent. Cal Poly also won its first game, defeating San Diego 41-17 on the road.
Since joining the Pac-12 back in 2011, Utah has played teams from the Big Sky a total of seven times. They are 7-0 in those games with an average margin of victory of over 33 points.
