Wayshawn Parker Walks Tight Rope For Fifth Utah Touchdown In West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Utah football running back Wayshawn Parker tiptoed along the sideline before catching a touchdown pass from Devon Dampier to put the Utes up 35-0.
The play gave Dampier his fourth TD pass of the game, and Parker his fifth touchdown of the season.

At first, the referee ruled that Parker had stepped out of bounds, and there was no score on the play. Utah challenged, and the call was reversed.
Utah’s first six drives of the game ended in five touchdowns and one interception. Dampier completed 19 of his 24 pass attempts for 227 yards and four touchdowns. He added 10 rushes for 27 yards and a score on the ground.
Meanwhile, Parker did damage in both the passing and running game as well. He had 48 scrimmage yards on two receptions and six rushes.
Utah Football Continues Conference Play In West Virginia
The Utah football team hits the road today, looking for its first win in conference play against the West Virginia Mountaineers.
After a blazing hot start to the season that saw the Utes climb up to No. 16 in the AP Top 25 Poll, the Red Raiders brought them back to earth in week three. Now Utah looks to get back on the horse as they travel to face the 2-2 Mountaineers.
This week five matchup in 2025 marks the first time Utah and West Virginia will face off as conference opponents.
