Social Media Explodes Following Kyle Whittingham’s Reported Michigan Hiring

SALT LAKE CITY – Kyle Whittingham is set to become the next head football coach at the University of Michigan after 32 seasons with the Utah Utes.
Reports of mutual interest between Whittingham and the school on Friday, December 26, prompted social media users and college football analysts to chime in on the massive hire.

The former BYU fullback became the winningest coach in Utah history over 21 seasons.

He has guided the program from the Mountain West to the Pac-12, and then again into the Big 12. His tenure included two Pac-12 championships (2021, 2022), 15 bowl appearances, and 177 career victories, making him the 38th all-time in all of college football.
