Former Utah State F Diogo Brito Signs Professional Contract In Spain

LOGAN, Utah – Former Utah State forward Diogo Brito has signed a professional contract to play in Spain.
Brito inked a deal with Rio Ourense Termal on Monday. The team is located in Ourense, Spain and is in the northwest of the country and due north of Brito’s home country of Portugal.
He finished his career at Utah State by helping the Aggies win their second straight Mountain West Conference Tournament Championship with a win over San Diego State this past season. Brito played every game as a senior in the 2019-20 campaign and appeared in 120 games in his college career.

Last season, Brito averaged 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game. He graduated from Utah State with a degree in exercise science. Brito earned academic All-Mountain West and Mountain West Scholar Athlete honors in all four years playing for the Aggies.
Ourense finished 10th in the standings last season and barely missed the postseason and a shot at a promotion in the Spanish League.
