Jordan Love Named Mountain West Preseason Offensive Player Of The Year

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Mountain West Conference announced that Utah State quarterback Jordan Love has been named Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
A total of five Aggies were named to the 2019 preseason all-conference team.
Only one other Utah State player was named preseason conference Player of the Year was Chuckie Keeton in 2014. Former USU linebacker Kyler Fackrell was voted the conference preseason Defensive Player of the Year in 2015.

The other Aggies to be named to the preseason All-Mountain West team include senior defensive end Tipa Galeai, senior cornerback D.J. Williams, junior kickoff returner Savon Scarver and junior linebacker David Woodward.

Utah State’s five players named to the 25-member Mountain West preseason team are tied with Boise State for the most in the conference. San Diego State had 4 players, Fresno State had 3 players, Air Force and Nevada each had 2 players, while Colorado State, Hawaii, UNLV and Wyoming each had one.
Love earned second team All-Mountain West honors after a fantastic 2018 campaign, where he set five school records including 32 touchdown passes, 3,567 passing yards, seven 300-yard passing games, 234 points responsible for and being named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week five times.
