Utah State Announces ‘Aggie Strong 2020 Giving Campaign’ To Support Athletics

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah State athletic department announced the “Aggie Strong 2020 Giving Campaign” for fans to support the school’s athletic programs.

The campaign was announced by USU athletic director John Hartwell on Thursday, August 13.

“Over the past few months, our community, state and nation have faced some unexpected challenges,” Hartwell said in a statement. “These challenges have also fallen upon Aggie Nation. At this time, your support is vital in our efforts to maintain a rewarding experience for Aggie student-athletes and to compete at the highest level.”

On Monday, August 10, the Mountain West Conference, which Utah State is a member of, announced that its 2020 football season was canceled.

Utah State announced the program as “a move aimed at supporting student-athlete opportunities and providing resources that are not only important for on the field of competition, but off of it as well.”

“We are kicking off the Aggie Strong 2020 Campaign, where we have a goal of 2,020 individuals making a donation toward Utah State Athletics by the end of the year. We invite Aggies everywhere to show how you are Aggie Strong and consider donating, or increasing your donations. to USU Athletics,” Hartwell continued. “On behalf of Utah State Athletics, I would like to thank you for your generous support. You’ve made a great impact on our students, programs and facilities as we strive to build champions on and off the field.”
