Utah State Athletics Announces 2023 Hall Of Fame Class

Utah State blew out the UTEP Miners in a non-conference game on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State will be honoring seven former former female student-athletes and administrators in its 2023 Hall of Fame class.
USU Athletics announced their 2023 Hall of Fame class, the 20th class in USU HOF history, on Wednesday, January 18.

“We are excited to celebrate and memorialize the successes of this group of inductees,” said USU Interim Director of Athletics Jerry Bovee. “These women are pioneers and role models. They have helped pave the way for the opportunities afforded our current student-athletes. We salute and honor the legacy these women have left at Utah State and beyond.”
The Utah State athletic department has arranged for ‘A Celebration of Women in Sport with Utah State Athletics,’ to be held the night prior to the Hall of Fame ceremony. This gala is intended to ‘honor 50 years of female student-athletes at USU’. Keynote speakers and live panels will be held with an eye toward raising funds for all female Aggie student-athletes.

Utah State Hall of Fame Class of 2023
The seven members of the 2023 Hall of Fame class will join 123 individuals and three teams that have previously been inducted in the Utah State Athletics Hall of Fame.
In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Title IX in college athletics, the 2023 HOF class includes:
- Tana Call Davis (1987-90), a gymnast that once held 16 school records
- Shantel Flanary (2008-11), a two-time Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year in soccer
- Krista Larson Du Plessis (2006-09), All-American track & field hammer thrower
- Jerrie McGahan (1977-80), first 1,000 point scorer in women’s basketball program
- Denae Mohlman Pruden (1997-2000), earned All-Big West honors three straight years
- Christine Thomsen (2012-13), One of seven All-American softball players in program history
- Marilyn Weiss (1975-81), Director of Women’s Athletics. Also coached basketball, volleyball & cross country.
The Utah State Hall of Fame and Hall of Honor can be found in the Jim and Carol Laub Athletics-Academics Complex in the north end zone of Maverik Stadium.
The 20th class of the Utah State Hall of Fame will be inducted on Saturday, April 23 at the Russell/Wanlass Performance Hall on USU’s campus. Additional information on both events can be found here.
