Utah State F Justin Bean Named Mountain West Player Of The Week

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State forward Justin Bean was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week after a great performance in the opening week of the season.
Justin Bean helped Utah State to a 1-1 record to begin the regular season. The Aggies lost to UC Davis at home in the opener and beat Richmond at the U.S. Naval Academy as a part of the Veterans Classic.
In their loss to UC Davis, Bean finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 1-of-3 from the three-point line. On Friday, Bean had another double-double with a career-high 30 points, along with 13 rebounds. He shot 11-for-16 from the floor and 3-of-4 from downtown in their 85-74 win over the Spiders.

Utah State won’t be back at The Spectrum until Saturday, November 27 when they face UT Arlington. They will stay on the road as they will head to Conway, South Carolina to participate in the Myrtle Beach Invitational. The first game will be on Thursday, November 18 against Penn at noon MT on ESPNU and The Zone Sports Network.
