Utah State Football Well-Represented In Athlon Sports Preseason All-MWC Teams

SALT LAKE CITY – The defending Mountain West Conference Champion Utah State Aggies are well-represented on the Athlon Sports preseason All-MWC teams.

Utah State had 12 players appear on the four All-MWC teams that were released by Athlon Sports ahead of the 2022 college football season.

The Aggies have two players on the first team, three on the second team, three on the third team and four on the fourth team.

Cracking the first team for Utah State by Athlon is offensive lineman Alfred Edwards III and punter Stephen Kotsanlee. Quarterback Logan Bonner, offensive lineman Quazzel White and running back Calvin Tyler Jr. made the second team. Making the third team is offensive lineman Chandler Dolphin, wide receiver Justin McGriff and defensive end Byron Vaughns.

The four Aggies on the fourth team includes DT Hale Motu’apuaka, linebacker A.J. Vongphachanh, safety Hunter Reynolds and wide receiver Brian Cobbs. Utah State’s 12 players on the four teams ranks third in the Mountain West Conference, trailing Boise State with 15 and San Diego State’s 13.
